From flood-hit neighbourhoods to summer streets, from temple journeys for the elderly to water bowls for birds — these are the ways the Trust extends care to the whole community, all year round.
Shree Ramrachit Foundation Trust has consistently stood beside communities during times of natural disasters and emergencies. During the 2024 heavy rainfall in Rajkot, the Trust carried out an extensive six-day relief operation, distributing over 50,000 freshly prepared thepla (chapati) along with hot khichdi meals to flood-affected families across the city. The initiative also created employment opportunities for more than 50 women, who were engaged in preparing and packaging theplas, providing both immediate humanitarian assistance and sustainable livelihood support during the crisis.
Continuing this commitment, during the 2026 heavy rainfall and flood-like conditions in Rajkot, the Trust once again launched a rapid emergency relief campaign. More than 6,000 freshly prepared thepla (chapatis) along with hot khichdi meals were distributed to stranded and vulnerable families across the affected areas. Our dedicated volunteers worked around the clock to ensure that nutritious meals reached those in need, providing timely support and relief during the emergency.
These disaster relief initiatives reflect the Trust's unwavering commitment to serving humanity during times of crisis by delivering freshly prepared meals, mobilizing volunteers, and ensuring that vulnerable families receive timely support with compassion, dignity, and care.

For the past three years, Shree Ramrachit Foundation Trust has been actively conducting its "Save the Birds" Initiative to protect birds from the harsh summer heat and water scarcity. As part of this ongoing campaign, the Trust has worked tirelessly to ensure that birds have access to clean drinking water and food throughout the summer season.
Over a period of 45 days each year, the Trust has distributed 11,000 water bowls (Kundis), 5,000 earthen pots, 5,000 bird feeders, and 2,000 cement water bowls free of cost. To maintain these water stations, the Trust also operates a 5,000-litre water tanker, refilling more than 151 water stations daily across the city. Through this sustained initiative, the Trust continues to promote compassion towards wildlife and encourages the community to participate in protecting birds during extreme weather conditions.

During the summer of 2025, Shree Ramrachit Foundation Trust organized a Free Summer Sherbet Distribution initiative throughout the entire summer season at Indira Circle, Rajkot. Every day, thousands of commuters, daily wage workers, traffic personnel, delivery personnel, and pedestrians were served refreshing, hygienically prepared fennel seed (saunf) and rock sugar (mishri) sherbet, a traditional drink known for its cooling properties and ability to help the body stay refreshed during the intense summer heat.
By providing this nutritious and refreshing beverage free of cost, the Trust helped people stay hydrated and find relief from extreme temperatures while promoting the benefits of traditional natural summer refreshments. This seasonal initiative reflects the Trust's ongoing commitment to public health, community welfare, and compassionate service.
